Golden Triangle Travel Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Meeting and assistance on arrival. Transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Delhi
Morning tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra
Drive to Agra enroute visiting Sikandra check in at hotel. Afternoon visit Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Taj Mahal built by the Mughul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Afternoon free for shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Overnight Agra.

Day 04: Agra - Jaipur
Morning drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehour Sikri. After visit drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon enjoy tour of Jaipur. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.

Tour of Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas.

Overnight Jaipur.

Day 05: Jaipur - Delhi Departure
After Breakfast drive to Delhi enroute visiting Amer Fort and enjoying Elephant ride there, move to international airport to board flight for onward journey.

Day 1 : New Delhi
Arrive New Delhi - The Capital of India. Assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Special welcome at the hotel. Afternoon proceed on sightseeing of New Delhi - a metropolis with a rich cultural background - visiting the historical landmarks. In the evening, enjoy a theme dinner to set the mood for an exciting tour. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 : In New Delhi
During the morning - sightseeing of Old Delhi. See the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and explore the famous market of Chandni Chowk. Return to your hotel for a theme dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 : New Delhi - Jaipur
In the morning leave by coach for Jaipur - the Pink city, founded in the late 19th century passing through the countryside. On arrival check - in at the hotel. After a buffet lunch, proceed for sightseeing of the Capital city. In the evening you have a choice of theme parties suited to Rajasthan.

Day 4 : In Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber - the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Ascend the fort on a gaily decorated elephant back. Visit the palace buildings. Afternoon free for shopping around the bazaars where one can choose from precious gems to variety of handicrafts. Yet another evening for a theme Party/Dinner.

Day 5 : Jaipur - Agra
In the morning leave by coach for Agra, the city of world famous Taj Mahal. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, the erstwhile capital of the Mughal Empire built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. On arrival check-in at the hotel. After a buffet lunch, visit the Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan Later visit the 16th century Red Fort containing the halls of private in the evening - Mughal theme Banquet.

Day 6 : Agra - Delhi
In the morning after breakfast leave for Delhi enroute visiting Sikandra the Tomb of Akbar. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon free for last minute shopping. Farewell Banquet or Gala Dinner in the evening

Day 7 : Leave Delhi
Early morning transfer to the airport to connect flight for onward destination (or back home).

Golden Triangle With Pushkar Fair Tour

DAY 01 : Delhi
On arrival meet and assist at the airport and transfer to prebooked hotel.

Delhi : India’s capital & a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind . The division between New & Old Delhi is the distinction between the capitals of the British & the Moghuls respectively. So, wherever the visitor goes, he will invariably confront the citys’ past.

DAY 02 : Delhi - Ajmer - Pushkar
After breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board train for Ajmer at 0615 hrs. Arrive Ajmer at 1245 and transfer to Pushkar. On arrival checkin at prebooked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 03 : Pushkar
Full day, visit the Pushkar fair.

DAY 04 : Pushkar

DAY 05 : Pushkar-Jaipur
Morning, visit the fair. Afternoon, leave for Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur, checkin at prebooked hotel. On arrival in Jaipur, checkin at prebooked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 06 : Jaipur
After breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort. Elephant ride from the foothills of the Aravallis to the fort entrance. Amber Fort : At a distance of 11 kms from Jaipur, Amber was the ancient capital of Jaipur state. Construction of the fort began in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar's army and is a superb example of Rajput architecture. Afternoon, free for individual activities. Afternoon, city tour of Jaipur.Visit the City Palace which has museum having an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamel ware and weapons; Jantar Mantar - the observatory built my Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728 and the façade of Hawa Mahal.

DAY 07 : Jaipur-Delhi
After breakfast, leave for Delhi. Enroute visit the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri : built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, was the old capital of the Moghuls, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces which are still preserved in its original glory. Continue drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi in the evening and checkin at prebooked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 08 : Delhi
After breakfast, city tour of Delhi. Visit Red fort, which was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, and additions were made up until the time of his grandson, Shah Jahan. It contains the hall of public and private audiences amongst many other beautiful structues; Itmad-ud-daulah, which was contructed by Nur Jahan between 1622 and 1628 and is very similar to the tomb she constructed for her husband, Jehangir, near Lahore in Pakistan; the highlight of the day - The Taj Mahal, which was constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Contruction of the Taj began in 1631 and was not completed until 1653. Afternoon, leave for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and check in at prebooked hotel.

DAY 09 : Delhi
After breakfast, half day city tour of Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Built by Shah Jahan, the construction was started in 1844 and was not completed until 1658; Red Fort, which was also built by Shah Jehan. This massive fort was built from 1638 to 1648; Chandni Chowk and Rajghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.

Afternoon, city tour of New Delhi. Visit Humayuns Tomb : built in mid 16th century this is an early example of Mughal architecture; Qutab Minar, drive past India Gate, President House, Connaught Place. The tour ends with a visit to Laxmi Narayan Temple

DAY 10 : Delhi
Transfer to the airport to board your flight back home/ onward destination.

On arrival at Delhi our representative will receive and transfer you to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in New Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel follows a morning sightseeing tour of Delhi including the Raj Ghat (samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi), Shanti Vana (samadhi of Nehruji), Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk and Akshardham temple. Lunch follows an afternoon tour of New Delhi covering Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, India Gate, Lotus Temple, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House and Connaught Place while driving through the city. Overnight stay will be at Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
206 km After breakfast you will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Jaipur, the Pink city. Upon arrival at Jaipur you will check in at hotel. After checking in, you can spend rest of the time at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 04: Jaipur
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is one of the heritage cities in India. The city boasts of numerous forts and monuments that were built during the rule of the Rajput rulers in the medieval and early modern periods. After breakfast you will explore the massive Amber Fort (ascending the fort on elephant back). After returning back from the Amber fort you will have lunch and then set out for a sight seeing tour of Jaipur.

Jaipur, also called the pink city, is the capital of Rajasthan. Raja Jai Singh founded the Jaipur city. The city boasts of numerous majestic buildings including the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Overnight stay will be at Jaipur.

Day 05: Jaipur - Agra
On the fifth day of your Golden triangle tour you will head for Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. Agra is almost 5-6hrs from Jaipur. While driving towards Agra you will stop at Fatehpur Sikri for a brief period.

Fatehpur Sikri was once the capital of the Mughal Empire. The city boasts of some of the magnificent monuments of the medieval period. Akbar, the great Mughal Emperor, made it the capital but was later abandoned due to scarcity of water. The buildings at Fatehpur Sikri present a unique blend of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles. Some of the attractions at Fatehpur Sikri are the Panch Mahal, the Buland Darwaza and the Dargah of Sheikh Salim Chisti. Upon reaching Agra you will transfer to hotel. Overnight stay will be at Agra.

Day 06: Agra - Delhi
Welcome to the city of the Taj Mahal! Agra boasts of one of the wonders of the world. In the morning we will take you for a sightseeing tour of Agra that will include the beautiful Taj Mahal.

Agra is synonymous with the majestic marble edifice, Taj Mahal. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Taj Mahal, the epitome of love and romance stands on the banks of river Yamuna. In addition to the Taj Mahal, Agra also boasts of monuments such as the Red Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah, the tomb of Nur Jahan's father. The tomb of Akbar at Sikandara is also an attraction at Agra. In the afternoon you will be driven back to Delhi for flight back home/onward journey.

We also see Agra Fort and other Mughal monuments in Agra. Stay overnight in Agra.

Day - 06 - Agra to Delhi
In the morning we drive back to Delhi. Drive to Delhi. Rest of the day at leisure. Check into your hotel and relax.

Day - 07 - Departure from Delhi
Leave for the airport to board your flight to your next destination at the end of your Golden Triangle Tour from Jaipur Hub.
